Photography Tours is a CAPE TOWN BASED TOUR OPERATOR. From here we operate private tours, holiday and day trips for INDIVIDUALS OR PRIVATE GROUPS.
All our tours have a PHOTOGRAPHIC FOCUS and are open to anybody with a visual appreciation including travelling partners who are not photographers.
We offer PRIVATE FULL & HALF DAY CAPE TOWN PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS & PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARIS at three carefully selected South African Game Lodges.
We noticed that many people would buy or borrow camera equipment specific for their African safari holiday. We now offer a unique photography holiday experience in that a private specialist photography guide can help teach you in the field tips and techniques before your safari allowing you to maximise you photographic opportinities whilst on safari.
Photography Tours is owned and managed by James Gradwell a passionate photographer and South African registered cultural and safari guide. James has combined his passions of photography, nature and culture to create Photography Tours. With over a decade working experience both as a professional guide and wildlife photographer James has taken everything he has learnt working for the very best in African such as & Beyond, Londolozi & Micato to create his own.
HIS INSPIRATION:
In 2007 as a photographer traveling through the deserts of Bolivia I had the good fortune of meeting a local guide who was also a photographer. The difference this made to my tour was so striking that it inspired me to create a company that offers just this; tours for photographers with a local photographer guide who knows where all the photographic hotspots are and the best times to be there.
And so,
In 2009 Photography Tours was established in Cape Town.
