photography tour BEST BEACHES OF cape town

WHAT YOU WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING

This Tour focuses on the incredibly beautiful beaches and seascapes of Cape Town.

You will start at Seapoint a suburban area that offers photo opportunities of surreal rock strata and ocean.  You'll then move on to Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. Not only will you have opportunity to photograph these beaches but also the beautiful mountains that tower over them.

You will also have an chance to photograph a ‘secret’ beach that is only accessible by foot. It is a picture perfect in the summer months with its tranquil blue waters, rocks and solitude.

You will continue on along the glorious Victoria Ocean drive to llandudno an exquisite beach with white sands, amazing rock formations and one of the best surfing waves in the Cape.

Following this you will continue to Hout Bay and onto Chapmans Peak Drive. This is one of the most picturesque cliff side ocean drives in the world and it offers a myriad of photographic opportunity. At the end of this drive is Long Beach with eight kilometres of long uninterrupted white sands and blue waters with no development.  It even has a dilapidated shipwreck to suit the mood.

Depending on our time we can continue on to visit the beaches of Muizenberg or Kommetjie before return to the city via the route behind Table Mountain.

AM or PM

In the morning the sun comes from the east and so is behind the mountain therefore we do the above route in reverse working from long beach back.

In the afternoon the sun sets on the ocean and is at a better angle for scenic shots of the shoreside and background mountains but if you want to photograph the ocean it will be directly into the sun which is ideal late afternoon for sunset shots.
