WHAT YOU WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING
Table Mountains shape and dominance is what makes the city of Cape Town so unique. So accordingly this flat topped mountain is much sought after as a photographic subject. And one of the best places to go for the 'classic postcard shot’ of it is across the bay.
Across the bay lies a strip of coast that extends all the way up the west coast. The further north one goes the less developed it becomes.
You will be taken along this sandy strip of the Table Bay because as the highly talented landscape photographer Ansel Adams says ‘a good photograph is knowing where to stand’ and here the ‘standing’ options are plentiful.
As these beaches tend to be very windy, particularly in summer, they are also the favoured playground of water sport enthusiasts such as kite boarders & windsurfers which can make for exciting subjects with Table Mountain in the background.
There is also a wetland nearby with an abundance of birdlife for those who would be keen to photograph water fowl.

In SUMMER because of the haze early mornings tend to be best. In the SPRING, AUTUMN the sunset shots can be very dramatic when the clouds create colourful patterns in the sky.
