Lined with oak trees and beautiful gabled Cape Dutch homesteads the Constantia Valley is the closest wine growing region to the city. It is situated on the southern slopes of Table Mountain in a ‘green forest belt’. These lush lands are where the very first wines of the Cape were planted.
You will be taken into this picturesque Constantia Valley where you will have plenty of time to photograph its wine estates, vineyards and beautiful Cape Dutch style architecture. You will also experience tastings of these exceptional quality wines including a dessert wine that was once favoured as one of the best the world has ever known.
You return back to the city will be via Hout Bay and the spectacular Victoria Ocean Drive.
