



WHAT YOU WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING
These extensive gardens (528hectares in total of which 36 hectares or about 50 soccer fields is cultivated) are internationally renowned as one of the most exquisite in the world.
They form a part of the Table Mountain National Park and are a showcase of indigenous South African plants mostly from the Cape Floral Kingdom.
The Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest of the Six Floral Kingdoms in the world and is the only one contained within a single country. It is characterized by an incredible richness species diversity (8 700 species) and endemicity (70% of plant species are found nowhere else on earth). Some of the more common species are the Proteas, Ericas, Geraniums and Daises.
You will have great opportunity to photograph this stunning garden with its many fine examples of the Cape floral wonderland as well as its associated bird and insect life.
For those interested in Macro, flower or bird photograph this is a perfect place to practise.
You will also visit Rhodes Memorial a fantastic edifice for creative photography.
