WHAT YOU WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING
The Cape Peninsula is home to several troops of wild Chacma Baboon and it is possible to join a qualified baboon monitor for a guided encounter with these animals. Due to the monitors daily contact with these animals you will have a unique opportunity for unparallel close up primate photography.
We will take you to the False Bay and the area of Glen Cairn and Kommetjie where you will join a tour with Baboon Matters. From there we will drive out to where the baboons are and one of their baboon monitors will guide you on a two or three hour walking excursion that takes you through the Mountain Fynbos to encounter the baboons in their home territory. This walk is seldom strenous and often the baoons are less than 15 minutes away.
